Your Contribution

Archway’s Residential Youth Worker with the Willows Program contributes by:

  • Working with youth to provide short-term outreach and stabilization.
  • Amalgamating services to provide seamless support and wraparound care.
  • Creating a positive living environment for youth to promote self-care and healthy living.
  • Supporting youth in making critical transitions; empowering youth participation in their personal care plan. 
  • Establishing trust with clients working to assess needs, goals, and support skill building.
  • Collaborating with service providers working closely with MCFD and Xyolhemeylh. 

 

This position is a great fit for someone who has initiative, flexibility, confidence, conflict resolution skills, and a good sense of humour!   

 

Our Offer

  • Wage: BCGEU Wage Grid 11, $23.10 per hour
  • A full-time position at 36 hours per week, must be available Sunday to Tuesday from 7:00AM to 7:00 PM

Getting an Interview

  • Diploma in Social Work, Child and Youth Care or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience with a focus on trauma-informed care.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ License and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
  • Emergency First Aid with CPR C, Food Safe 1 or ability to obtain
  • Ability to complete TB testing and submit immunization record.
  • Must have COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with youth, in addressing behavioural and emotional issues.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with youth in a residential setting.
  • Experience providing trauma informed care.
