Full-time: 40 Hours/Week

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, as necessary to ensure plant reliability
- Carry out preventative maintenance plan and keep detailed records of work performed on each machine
- Able to trouble-shoot and repair skid steers, forklifts and front-end loader
- Install new parts, e.g., tires, hydraulic hoses, water pumps, etc.
- Perform pre trips on all equipment and vehicles used in product processing
- Keep records and documentation as dictated by WorkSafe BC and recommended by the manufacturer; ability to read technical documents
- Complete emergency repairs in timely fashion
- Inspect all hand tools regularly to ensure safety
- Be available to work during off-shift hours and on-call
- Be available to work all shifts, including weekends and afternoons, or as required
- Ensure designated shop area is maintained in safe, clean and organized fashion
- Knowledge of plant production (flow and location)
- Working knowledge of baler and tier systems
- Other plant/maintenance related duties
RELEVANT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly motivated, self-driven, self-starter
- Minimum 3 years manufacturing background
- Familiar with pumps, motors, PLCs and hydraulic systems
- Experience with maintaining conveyor systems
- Ability to weld (MIG and stick)
- Familiar with safe operation of equipment in conjunction with ACS Policy and Procedures and WorkSafe BC regulations
- Forklift certification and skid steer training an asset
- Good communication and interpersonal skill; supervisory skills an asset
- Must possess a valid BC Drivers’ License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Must maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Must maintain a satisfactory fitness assessment and be able to work in a dusty environment
- Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds

Wage: $30.00/hour to start
