Position: Live-in caregiver - Seniors

Number of Position: 1

Terms of employment: Full-Time & Permanent

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Benefits: Overtime, paid meal breaks, vacation pay

Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. However, this is NOT a condition of employment

Start Date: As soon as possible

Position responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and companionship to elderly person.
• Assist with daily exercise instructed by the family doctor.
• Prepare nutritious/healthy meals and special diets and assist in feeding.
• Provide medication to elderly person, in addition to keeping records of doctor's meeting.
• Escort to the social events, parks, doctor’s appointments, and other appointments.
• Assist in personal care routines such as bathing, dressing,bowel care, and personal care.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties for elderly person (e.g., laundry, washing dishes and making bed etc.).
• Maintain a safe and clean environment around the elderly person.
• Observe behavior and activities of the elderly person for reference purpose.
• Perform other related duties as required by the elderly person.

Position Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school.
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar role or completion of training program in care of the elderly, or in related field.
• Good communication skills.

First Aid Certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate would be an asset
