Sheet Metal Installer
Wage - $28.50 to $30.50 / hour
Hours – 40 hours/week
Terms of Employment – Permanent, Full Time
Main Duties
- Reading engineering and architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications to be performed.
- Operating light metalworking machines
- Operating cutting equipment to cut sheet metal
- Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, eavestroughs, partition frames, air and heat ducts, material handling systems, roof decking and sheet metal buildings
- Installing sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
- Grinding and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
- Inspecting product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications.
Requirements
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 to 3 years of experience in related field.
