Job Summary:
The Refugee Integration Support Worker assists in leading the regional Refugee Readiness Team (RRT) and providing a means for community partners to get together to implement the action plan related to resettlement of newcomer refugees and displaced Ukrainians. The action plan prioritizes four major issues: Housing, Health Care Access, Coordination of Information, and Employment Opportunities for Refugees and displaced Ukrainians. This position’s goal is to assist Archway’s Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) in gathering feedback on the resettlement of displaced Ukrainians, Afghan and other refugees in Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Pitt Meadows, and Maple Ridge. The Refugee Integration Support Worker will also assist in developing and maintaining the Fraser Valley RRT’s portal/website, gathering data, and coordinating and facilitating meetings with all stakeholders.

This position is a great fit for someone who knows about challenges faced by refugees and refugee claimants, has good relationship building and networking skills, is good with computers, and is able to use virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Cisco WebEx.
