Job Duties
- Establish various accounts to record transactions, reconcile accounts and post journal entries
- Prepare trial balance and ensure correct entry of each transaction, prepare and maintain general ledgers
- Use established accounting data and prepares financial reports / statements by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Gather and pay bills for company’s operating related fees
- Prepare and file tax returns and assist CPA
- Assist in month-end closings
- Keep a track of maintenance expenses and procurement of snow plowing and other equipment.
- Work along with procurement team to procure salt, sod and similar items throughout the year.
- Calculate wage for all workers, prepare checks and process payrolls
- Comply with federal and provincial regulations, prepare and file monthly tax remittance, regular tax returns, ROEs and other required forms
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
- Prepare other accounting reports as required
- Complete other duties assigned by the accountant
Requirements
- Education - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required
- Experience - 2 years to 3 years of accounting/ bookkeeping experience is required
- Well versed with MS Access; MS Outlook; Database software; Data analysis software; Accounting software; Inventory control software; Computerized bookkeeping system
- Excellent English written and communication skills
- Efficiently work in fast-paced environment, capable of handling work under-pressure
- Attention to Detail; maintain Confidentiality; Thoroughness; Accuracy & confident in work
- Effective interpersonal skills; team player; client focus; reliable and well-organized.
Salary & Hours: $26.00 / hour & 30 hours per week
