Salary:                  $19 per hour

Hours worker per week:               40/50 hours per week

Overtime:           to be paid in keeping with provincial employment standards

JOB DUTIES:

• Supervise and care for children in employer’s residence
• Supervise and care for multi-aged group children
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties
• Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Instruct children on personal hygiene
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
• Take children to and from school and appointments
• May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• Swimming
• Wash, iron and press clothing and household items
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Typical work schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM, however, availability required for occasional evening and work, as well as willingness to travel with family on vacation.

During the week availability to work at night and stay over night when parents are travelling for work.

Family can provide car for use on the job.

Compensation: Please note that the wage will be subject to the prevailing wage in the BC lower mailand for NOC 4411 at the time of hiring
