Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Check forms, fill hollows, remove spots, rebar, tamping and general readiness to pour concrete.
- Use hand tools and straight edge/floats to level concrete, fix high and low spots to ensure desired depth, level, grade and finish to freshly poured concrete.
- Operate power trowel to vibrate and compact concrete, and finish concrete slab (sidewalk, stamp, stairs and driveways).
- Use laser level to give the right height of the concrete slab and determine grade to specifications.
- Apply hardening and cure sealing to surface of concrete.
- Use bow flow, vibrator, laser, and rack while concrete is being placed.
- Repair, resurface and replace damaged areas of concrete structures.
- Wet fit desired fixtures to freshly poured Concrete when required.
- Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces to repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
- Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
- Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
- Check the safety guidelines and ensure the safety of the team by ensuring the procedures are being followed properly
Qualification/Skills
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Minimum 3 years and maximum up to 5 years of experience required
- Requires the ability to read, write, communication in English
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
- Train or arrange for training
- Supervise workers and projects and recommend personnel actions
Salary:
$38.50 for 30 hours per week
