Job Title: Commercial Truck Mechanic Helper

Number of Vacancies: 10

We are seeking to hire Commercial Truck Mechanic Helpers to help us staff our night and weekend shifts.  We operate a busy commercial truck repair facility, operating 24 hours per day Monday through Friday, and regular daytime hours during the weekend.  You will be required to work a combination of either 2 weekday night and 2 weekend day shifts or 4 weekday night shifts per week.

Night shifts are: 7:00pm – 5:00am
Weekend shifts are: 7:00am – 5:00pm

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Assist Commercial Truck Mechanics in adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of commercial truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical, air-conditioning and electronic systems; 

• Assist Commercial Truck Mechanics is adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems; 

• Assist Commercial Truck Mechanics in utilizing computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to identify and diagnose faults or malfunctions in commercial trucks; 

• Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas; 

• Perform other labouring and shop duty tasks as required.

Wage/Salary: $23.00/hour

Benefits: Full Extended Medical and Health Benefits after 90 days employment, including Life Insurance, Dental, AD&D Insurance, $0.25/hour tool allowance; $100/year Boot Allowance; Paid Overtime Available

Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Week
