JOB POSITION: Jewellery Repairman / woman (NOC 6344)

Salary: CDN $29/hr for 32 to 40 hours a week

Terms of employment: Permanent / Full time

Start date: As soon as possible.

Vacancies: 2 (Two)

Job requirements: -

Languages: English

Education: No degree certificate or diploma

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Job Duties:

• Clean all parts using special cleaning and rinsing solutions and ultrasonic or mechanical cleaning machine;
• Supervise other jewellers
• Appraise gemstones and diamonds to differentiate between stones, identify rare specimens and to detect peculiarity affecting stone values
• Examine, cut, shape and polish diamonds and precious and synthetic gems;
• Fabricate and repair precious and semi-precious metal jewellery, such as rings, brooches, pendants, bracelets and lockets
• Set precious and semi-precious stones in jewellery mountings

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: 20/20 vision; Ability to distinguish colours, Attention to detail; Hand-eye co-ordination, sitting

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland

Personal Suitability: Accurate; Client Focus, Efficient interpersonal skills; Team player.

Area of experience: Cleaning, Fabrication; Gem and stone cutting; Gem and stone setting; Jewellery assembling
