Job Description
We are looking to hire full-time “Cook” who could be a part of our team.
Our restaurant is located at Unit B2-4 - 1400 Weber Street East, Kitchener, Ontario, N2A 3Z8.
Hours: 35- 40 hours/ week
Salary- $16.50 per hour
Duties:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
- Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
- Oversee kitchen operations
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- May set up and oversee buffets
- May clean kitchen and work area
- May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
- May hire and train kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of food safety and public health practices
- Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
- Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and work well with others in a team-based setting.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings
Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years
Language:
English
