Location: 15 Victoria Cres, Brampton, ON L6T 1E2
Work location: On site
Salary: $36.00 hourly / 32 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

• Operating woodworking machines and using hand tools to cut shape and form designed
• Different parts of wood are fixed together using glue and clamps
• Reinforcing joints using nails and screw
• Training joints, sanding wooden surfaces
• Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels by hand or using boring machine
• Applying veneer stain or polish to finished products
• Repairing or restyling wooden furniture or fixtures marking outlines or dimensions on wood.
• Sets up and operates woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointer, mortiser, tenoner, molder, and shaper, to cut and shape parts from wood stock
• Preparing and interpreting blueprint drawings
