Job Description
Job Role:
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
- Supervises the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff.
- Audit as per the health and safety regulations and other related laws and report non-compliance and take corrective actions to assure compliance to all safety requirements on a regular and daily basis.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Recommend or arrange for additional maintenance services.
- Develop and execute training to meet all job requirements and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
- Order, manage inventory and safely store sanitation agents and cleaning substances
- Deal with the vendors and agents for order supply and/or to meet with the job requirements.
- Assist cleaners in performing duties.
- Co-ordinate work activities with other departments and establish work schedules.
- Ensure payment has been received for specialized cleaning jobs.
- Respond to and resolve clients’ concerns, escalate matters as needed.
Requirements:
- Person should be minimum Secondary (high) school passed.
- No experience required, however if experienced then it’s an added advantage.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Should be willing to work in a hotel, motel or resort.
- Should have skills to supervise 3-4 people, janitors, caretakers and building superintendents and light duty cleaners.
