Job Description
Job Role:
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware and places dishes in storage area.
- Ensure the kitchen colleagues have the dishes/silverware required and members have clean dishes.
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items; keep the kitchen area clean.
- Package take-out food portion and wrap foods; stock refrigerators and salad bars.
- Should have the knowledge to use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs.
- Sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment.
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, sweep, mop, wash and polish floors; wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.
- May also weigh, measure and prepare ingredients for complex dishes, stir and strain soups, and/or grind meats, poultry and seafood.
- Assist culinary team and serving staff to deliver excellent customer service to patrons.
Requirements:
- No Degree required, should be certified or diploma from accredited institution/university
- No experience required, however if experienced then it’s an added advantage.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
