Job Description
We are looking for a Home Support Worker to provide essential personal care and companionship for seniors, assisting with daily living activities and promoting their overall well-being. The main job responsibilities are giving below:
- Provide personal care and companionship
- Administer bedside and personal care
- Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Assist in regular exercise
- Assist in the administration of medications and collect specimens
- Change non-sterile dressings
- Cook, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and assist in feeding
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Provide transportation and support to medical appointment
- Require working during nights and weekends, as per the employer's needs
Qualifications:
- College diploma or certificate in personal support worker is required.
- First aid certification is required.
- A valid Ontario driver’s license is required to perform job duties.
- Experience in care of the elderly, care of persons with convalescent care is an asset.
- Mandarin is preferred but not mandatory.
