Job Duties:
- Estimate dimensions of workpieces, products, or equipment.
- Make adjustments to the machine to control speed, feed and path of the
cut.
- Operate cutting equipment.
- Program equipment to perform production tasks
- Manoeuvre metal or plastic forming equipment.
- Measure dimensions of finished products or workpieces to verify
conformance to specifications.
- Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
- Notice equipment operation to ensure the proper functioning
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs
- Analyse blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.
- Monitor lubrication of equipment or workpieces
- Position and fasten workpieces.
- Maintain safe environment by following safety measures and guidelines
