We are currently seeking a highly specialized Software Developer to join our team.
Job Duties:
Write, modify, integrate, and test software code for web-based and internal applications.
Maintain and update existing software to reflect evolving business needs and user requirements.
Collect and document user needs, develop logical and physical specifications, and create detailed technical designs.
Analyze information to recommend and plan upgrades, enhancements, and improvements to existing systems.
Develop software architecture and determine requirements using technical specifications.
Research, evaluate, and integrate new software tools, frameworks, and technologies into development projects.
Identify and troubleshoot technical problems, ensuring efficient and reliable software performance.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team meetings, providing technical insight and support.
Support cloud-based deployments, particularly in Microsoft Azure, including architecture, implementation, and optimization.
Deploy and manage applications using containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that meet business needs.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development or systems analysis.
Strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, SQL.
Experience with SQL Server (complex queries, stored procedures, functions, optimization).
Experience with ASP.NET Core, Angular, React, and version control tools (e.g., Git).
Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Familiarity with nuclear or renewable energy workflows, safety considerations, or regulatory standards (an asset).
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (Azure preferred).
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated build and release processes (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to attend mandatory in-office days (1–2 per week).
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, including background checks and reliability screening, for work in the nuclear industry.
