Job Responsibilities:
• Measure and mark areas for hardwood flooring installation, repairs, and transitions to ensure accurate layout and proper fit.
• Trim, shape, and install hardwood flooring materials using appropriate tools, adhesives, fasteners, and installation techniques.
• Prepare the work surface by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives or other required materials prior to floor installation.
• Use various tools and equipment required for floor installation, sanding, and finishing, including power tools and specialized flooring equipment.
• Install flooring materials in residential and commercial spaces using approved installation methods to ensure durability and proper alignment.
• Cut, trim, and install underlay or subfloor materials as required to prepare surfaces for flooring installation.
• Examine existing and old hardwood flooring for damage and perform necessary repairs, replacements, sanding, or refinishing as required.
• Ensure that all flooring that you install is well-positioned and secure.
• Provide estimates for required materials, installation time, and labour costs if required.
• Clear the working surface of dust and debris.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar field is required.
