Job Duties:

• Plan, prepare, and cook complete meals as well as individual menu items
• Coordinate, assign, and oversee the work of kitchen assistants and support staff
• Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and food safety standards
• Organize and manage buffet setups when required
• Develop menus, calculate portion sizes, estimate food and ingredient requirements, control costs, and place supply orders
• Prepare specialized meals for patients in accordance with dietary guidelines provided by a dietitian or supervising chef
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, workstations, and food preparation areas
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, including food supplies, kitchen equipment, and utensils, and keep accurate records
• Participate in the recruitment, training, and onboarding of kitchen staff
