CNC Programmer

M and J Woodcrafts Ltd. located at 1-7338 Progress Way, Delta, BC. V4G 1L4Canada urgently requires 1 CNC Programmer.

Job Duties:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and computer-aided design (CAD) files to determine machining requirements.
• Develop and write CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs for machining parts using G-code, M-code, or CAM software such as Mastercam, Solid CAM, or Fusion 360.
• Prepare, set up, and operate CNC machine tools to carry out precision machining operations as required for testing or verification.
• Determine machining sequences, cutting speeds, feed rates, and tool selection appropriate for various materials and operations.
• Load programs into CNC machines and conduct trial runs to ensure that programs produce parts within specified tolerances.
• Inspect machined parts to verify dimensions and surface finishes using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Modify and optimize existing CNC programs to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cycle time.
• Troubleshoot programming or machining issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain records of CNC programs, revisions, and setup documentation.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production personnel to ensure manufacturing quality and productivity.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations and company quality standards.

Eligibility:

·         Completion of a 2 to 3-year college program in manufacturing technology is an asset.

·         At least 2-3 years of experience in CNC Programming.
