Education
- High School Certificate
Experience
- 1-year long-haul driving experience is an asset
Credentials
- Driver’s Licence: Class A/1
- Air Brake (Z)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate semi/articulated transport trucks to haul goods and materials
- Drive individually or as a two-person team
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Maintain excellent attendance record
- Create driver logs in the logbook and create and maintain records of inspection
- Safely operate the transport truck and adhere with safety protocols
- Perform deliveries with outstanding customer service skills
- Use Global Positioning System and other gadgets to manage the trip
- Monitor the condition of the vehicle, tires, brakes, refrigeration unit, and other equipment
Requirements
- Able to workdays/nights
- Speak and read instructions in English
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols
