Job Title: Home Child Caregiver (NOC 44100)

Wage: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: 30 hours per week (Daytime shifts, 7 hours daily)

About the Position:

He Wang is seeking a responsible, nurturing, and energetic Home Child Caregiver to provide exclusive care for their child. This is a live-out position located in a private residence in Burnaby. The ideal candidate will become a trusted partner in ensuring the child’s safety, development, and well-being while the parents are at work.

Job Duties (In accordance with NOC 44100):

• Assume full responsibility for the child during daytime hours, ensuring a constant safe and secure environment in the family home.
• Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate activities, such as educational games, outdoor play, arts and crafts, and reading, to stimulate the child’s intellectual, physical, and emotional development.
• Maintain a consistent daily routine for the child, including meal times, naps, and playtime. Administer positive strategies for appropriate child behavior according to the parents' guidance.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the child, taking into account any specific dietary needs or preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to the child's care, such as sterilizing bottles, preparing formula, changing bed linens, laundering the child's clothes, and tidying the child's play area and room.
• Tend to the child's emotional well-being and personal hygiene needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor the child's health and recognize signs of illness.
• Oversee the child’s safety at all times, both inside the home and during outdoor activities.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Previous childcare experience (paid or voluntary) is an asset.
• Genuine interest in child development and child psychology.
• Must be responsible, patient, and trustworthy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both the child and the parents.
• First Aid and CPR certification is considered a strong asset.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Terms of Employment:

Location of Work: 4638 Burke Street, Burnaby, BC. The caregiver must be comfortable working in a private home setting.

Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Hours of Work: Daytime hours, totaling 35 hours per week (e.g., 7-hour shifts between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday). Specific schedule to be discussed with the employer.

Type: Permanent or Full-time position.
