Job Duties:
Supervise and schedule asbestos abatement and hazardous materials remediation workers.
Coordinate remediation activities with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
Resolve work-related issues and improve productivity, quality, and safety.
Requisition materials, equipment, supplies, and PPE for projects.
Train workers on asbestos abatement procedures, hazardous materials handling, and safety practices.
Recommend worker assignments and training requirements.
Prepare progress reports and maintain project records.
Ensure compliance with asbestos removal procedures and health and safety regulations.
Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Supervise apprentices, hazardous materials workers, and labourers on remediation projects.
Requirements:
Completion of secondary school is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in asbestos abatement and hazardous materials remediation.
Knowledge of asbestos containment systems, decontamination procedures, hazardous materials handling, and workplace safety practices.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to various project locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by project demands and operational needs.
