Job Duties: 

  • Supervise and schedule asbestos abatement and hazardous materials remediation workers.

  • Coordinate remediation activities with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.

  • Resolve work-related issues and improve productivity, quality, and safety.

  • Requisition materials, equipment, supplies, and PPE for projects.

  • Train workers on asbestos abatement procedures, hazardous materials handling, and safety practices.

  • Recommend worker assignments and training requirements.

  • Prepare progress reports and maintain project records.

  • Ensure compliance with asbestos removal procedures and health and safety regulations.

  • Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

  • Supervise apprentices, hazardous materials workers, and labourers on remediation projects.

 

Requirements: 

  • Completion of secondary school is preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in asbestos abatement and hazardous materials remediation.

  • Knowledge of asbestos containment systems, decontamination procedures, hazardous materials handling, and workplace safety practices.

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to various project locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

  • Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by project demands and operational needs.
