Doris Brown and her family are in search of a home support worker. Ms. Doris Brown suffers from health conditions that prevent her from going through her day-to-day function, and therefore requires a home support worker so she may have necessary support.

Duties and responsibilities

-            Provide safety, care, and companionship for Doris, especially for cognitive stimulation due to deterioration of memory

-            Administer bedside and personal care to Doris, such as assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, undressing

-            Plan and prepare meals and special diets for Doris

-            May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes, making beds, etc.

-            May perform routine health duties, inclusive of accompanying to hospital visits, doctor visits, chiropractor appointments, and the like

-            Help Doris with ADL’s per her elderly needs and need for supervision due to failing eye sight which requires special attention due to safety concerns.

Requirements

-            Ability to speak English

-            1 year minimum of home management experience

-            First aid certification required

-            Desirable personality traits, including emotional intelligence, empathy, kindness

-            Additional experience in the food industry is an asset
