Chairside Dental assistant (NOC 33100)

Ocean Periodontal & Dental Implant Centre is currently in the process of looking for 1 full-time

chairside dental assistant.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible

Unit 800 - 6091 Gilbert Road Richmond, BC V7C 5L9

Wage rate: $37.00 per hour, overtime will start after 35 hours per week

Eligibility:

Completion of an eight-month to one-year college or other program in dental assistance or

completion of secondary school with on-the-job training.

On-the-job training will be provided.

English language (Korean language an asset)

Job Duties:

Schedule appointments

Keep records of patients’ dental work

Prepare patients for dental exams and help the dentist during the examination

Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment

Prepare dental instruments and filling materials

Teach patients about oral hygiene

Invoice patients

Order dental and o"ce supplies

Under a dentist’s supervision, chairside dental assistants with a radiography designation can also

expose X-rays. (Uncertified or “chairside” dental assistants perform only “extra-oral” duties outside a

patient’s mouth.)
