The company specializes in swimming pool installation, landscape construction, concrete construction, and custom outdoor living projects, including pool decks, patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features.
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our team.
Job Duties:
Prepare, place, level, and finish freshly poured concrete for pool decks, patios, walkways, driveways, and other exterior concrete surfaces.
Inspect and prepare formwork, granular base, and reinforcement materials before concrete placement.
Operate power vibrators, screeds, floats, trowels, and other hand and power tools to compact and finish concrete.
Apply curing, sealing, waterproofing, and protective compounds to concrete surfaces.
Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other embedded fixtures in freshly poured concrete, as required.
Repair, resurface, and restore damaged or worn concrete surfaces.
Measure, align, and finish concrete surfaces according to project drawings, grades, and specifications.
Maintain concrete finishing tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Follow company health and safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work collaboratively with supervisors and construction crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Requirements:
Secondary school completion preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher or performing concrete finishing work is required.
Experience forming, placing, finishing, curing, repairing, and resurfacing concrete surfaces.
Trade certification in concrete finishing or cement masonry is an asset.
Ability to safely operate concrete finishing tools and equipment.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and performing physically demanding work.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow measurements, grades, and project specifications.
Flexible to work weekends, statutory holidays, and overtime, as required.
