Position: Nanny

 

We are looking for a caring and responsible Nanny who can support our child in a safe, nurturing, and engaging home environment. The successful candidate will provide attentive supervision, assist with daily routines, prepare meals, and plan age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and healthy physical, emotional, and social development. The role requires patience, reliability, strong organizational skills, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and well-being.

 

Job duties:

  • Provide full-time care and supervision for our child approximately two years of age in our private residence.
  • Ensure our child’s safety, health, and well-being at all times by providing attentive supervision and applying appropriate and respectful discipline methods.
  • Assist our child with daily routines, including dressing, diaper changes, hygiene, naps, meals, snacks, and administration of medication as directed by the parents.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to our child’s needs and dietary requirements.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise age-appropriate activities, including reading, music, educational activities, indoor and outdoor play, walks, and outings.
  • Provide opportunities for physical activity and outdoor play on a daily basis while ensuring appropriate supervision.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment by cleaning and sanitizing toys, play areas, the child’s room, and areas used for childcare activities.
  • Perform child-related housekeeping duties, including meal preparation, laundry, tidying, vacuuming, and general cleaning associated with our child’s care.
  • Monitor our child’s development and communicate regularly with us parents regarding routines, activities, progress, and any concerns.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home and respond appropriately in emergency situations, including administering first aid when required.
  • Follow household policies and safety procedures regarding confidentiality, phone use, visitors, smoking, alcohol/drugs, and social media while providing care.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Completion of a minimum of high school education is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a nanny providing full-time care for young children in a private household is required.
  • Previous experience with household management and child-related household duties is considered an asset.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement engaging, age-appropriate, and educational activities that support the child’s development.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic environment.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Reliable, responsible, patient, and compassionate individual with a genuine interest in supporting children’s growth and well-being.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check is required as a condition of employment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of emergency response procedures, including First Aid and CPR.

 

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Language of Work: English
  • Wage: $25 per hour
  • Hours: 30 hours per week. Occasional weekend care may be required, as needed.
  • Work Location: In-person, at the employer’s private home
