Asphalt-paving Machine Operator

Business Location: 7510 – 42 Street, Leduc, AB T9E 0R8

Job Location: The position requires travel to various locations in the Edmonton area (AB). Travel expenses are paid by the employer when the job site is outside of Leduc.

Salary: $34-$38/hour (based on experience; salary increases as per Company policy).

Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal, Full-Time, 44 to 70 hours/week, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime, Evening

Anticipated Start Date: Spring 2027 (Actual start date is weather-dependent)

Job requirements:

Languages: Basic English

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience

Own tools and equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy, Dusty, Hot

Area of Work: Fine grading and finishing, Asphalt finishing, Road construction

Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Grader, Paver, Pulverizing, stabilizing machine

Duties:

• Operate heavy equipment,
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks,
• Measure distance, volume, length and weight
• Understand the purpose, proper usage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS)
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment,
• Secure special attachments to equipment,
• Perform minor repairs to equipment
