About the Opportunity:

TekKlinik has an immediate job opening for an Electronic/ Cellular Telephone Service Technician. This is a permanent full-time opportunity. The Electronic/ Cellular Telephone Service Technician assumes overall responsibility for the day to day hardware and software related issues of Cellphones, Computers, Laptops, X-Box, Play Station and Tablets etc. for our various business clients. This position is responsible for the testing, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing the electronic devices including customer’s smartphones, tablets and computers. This position ensures compliance with all business policies related to customer service, security of data and loss/ damage of the device.

This job is characterized by the hectic and highly deadline driven nature of the work. It requires strong technical and IT skills along with proactive planning in order to effectively deal with the work flow inherent in delivering hardware and software repair services to our clients. In addition this position requires communication with various customers, explaining electronic devices issues in easy to understand manner and offering solutions.

About the Location:

We are located at 2900 Warden Ave, Unit 114, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada (Bridalwood Mall)- Employment location. The main intersection is Finch Ave E and Warden Ave in the city of Scarborough.

Following are job duties and responsibilities for this position:

• Assume overall responsibility for the day to day business operations of Testing, Diagnosing, Troubleshooting and Repairing smartphones, tablets, computers and related devices.
• Resolve difficult and complex issues related to windows installation, factory resetting, data retrieval, video and other chip replacement of electronic devices.
• Resolve computer software related issues of clean-up device, malware removal, virus removal etc.
• Resolve PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 issues related to over heating, YLOD, OS re-installation/ repair, laser replacement, disc drive replacement etc.
• Resolve Xbox 360, Xbox One issues related to mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, parental lock etc.
• Resolve IPad, IPod issues and Tablet related to digitizer/ screen, parts replacement, software issues, android/ software installation and repair etc.
• Resolve Smartphone related issues including screen/digitizer replacement, water damage, parts replacement, software issues, troubleshooting, AWS unlocking, understanding schematics.
• Communicate with customers explaining technical issues of their electronic devices in an easy to understand manner and provide them with the complete solution.
• Allocate work to ensure priorities are met and checking work for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures that all company regulations and policies are meet regarding data security, customer service and loss/damage of the devices.
• Perform other duties that may be required or assigned by operations/ store manager.

About the Job Skills and Requirements:

Following are the job skills and requirements for this position:

• Completion of Secondary School is required along with College Electrical and Electronics program or related field program is required.
• Enhanced knowledge and technical skills of electronic device’s repair and services.
• Working knowledge and experience of soldering skills including micro-solder, micro-chip, replacement, charging, port replacement, re-balling, micro-jumpers.
• Experience is in the related filed is desirable/ asset. On job training will be provided.
• Work well in a fast paced, team environment, and ability to work flexible retail hours.
• First class communication skills and an ability to quickly understand and act on questions raised by clients in a timely manner. This will be a highly visible role and so requires someone with an approachable personality.
• Self-motivated with a diligent and detailed approach to completing tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A high degree of initiative and independence.

About the Working Hours, Salary and How to Apply:

Working Hours: It is a permanent full-time job position that required minimum of 40 hours per week. Full time hours for this position are 11.30 am to 7.30 pm

      Job Salary:  $31.50 to $32.50 per hour based on experience and knowledge.
