Title of Position: Chef
Job Duties:
- Prepare and cook wide range of Japanese traditional dishes;
- Create high quality sushi including cooking rice, rolling sushi, temperature recording, cutting sashimi, cutting and packaging for take-out and dine-in plate preparation.
- Create new recipes and plan menus.
- Ensure all operating standards including food safety and quality are strictly adhered to.
- Create connections with each guest in a friendly, professional, and caring manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station.
- Perform monthly inventories and training and supervising of kitchen staff as required.
- Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, using the correct procedures.
Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time (30 hours/week)
Wage: $25.00 hourly
Benefit: 10 days’ vacation
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: 1-2 Years of experience in the food service sector as a chef
- Language: Speak English, read English, and write in English
