Job Summary:

The Fund Development Coordinator – Annual Giving works within the Philanthropy Services team and reports to the Manager, Philanthropy. This position is responsible for annual giving initiatives including monthly giving and other fundraising formats (i.e., direct mail, digital marketing campaigns), donor and sponsor stewardship, event management, database management and other administrative tasks as required. Fund Development activities include, but are not limited to, identifying prospects, cultivating gifts, soliciting donations, and contributing to donor stewardship activities, working in coordination with other members of the Philanthropy Services Team.

Your Role:

Archway’s Fund Development Coordinator – Annual Giving with the Philanthropy Services team contributes by:

  • Works collaboratively with the Manager, Philanthropy to develop and maintain the monthly giving program and annual giving initiatives (direct mail, digital campaigns, etc)
  • Engage in donor stewardship activities.
  • Seeks out sponsorship support for various agency initiatives.

  • A full-time, position at 35 hours per week, 8:30am – 4:30pm, occasional evening and/or weekend work outside of normal business hours

Getting an Interview – you will be considered if you have:

  • Diploma or Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution in fundraising, business, marketing, communications or in a related field.
  • Experience in fund development and/or database management OR the equivalent in education and/or experience.
  • Experience working with Blackbaud platforms or comparable donor database/fundraising software is preferred. 
  • Experience creating fundraising appeals is an asset.
  • Experience in project management is an asset.

The Job Requires you to have:

  • The ability to work some evenings and weekends outside of normal business hours.
  • The ability to sit for long periods of time, with periodic bending and lifting up to 20lbs.
  • Strong computer competency, able to use Microsoft Office365 and virtual meeting platforms including Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong relationship building skills, able to build effective and respectful working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong cross-cultural skills, able to work and communicate with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations and compliance.
  • A satisfactory criminal record check is a condition of employment.
