JOB TITLE: Warehouse Shipper/Receiver (NOC 14400)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time/Permanent

START DATE: As Soon As Possible

WAGE: $20.00 /Hour

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 5

JOB DUTIES:

• Receive incoming shipments on Vista Trac, verify quantities against purchase orders/packing slip and update inventory database

• Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems by counting received material and updating records
• Basic proficiency with MS office

• Generate shipping labels and placing labels on skids
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods
• Inspect shipment contents and comparing with records, including Purchase Order Receipts, invoices, packing slips, to verify accuracy of shipments and record any shortages or damaged goods
• Pick and assemble orders and check the accuracy of customer orders after packing (verify unit counts, labeling etc.)
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment

 SKILLS REQUIREMENTS 

EDUCATION: Completion of High School is required

EXPERIENCE:

• No Experience required, successful candidates will be provided training
• Experience in a related clerical occupation or as a warehouse worker would be considered an asset
• Forklift Certification is considered an asset, however not required for hiring. We will provide successful candidates with in-house forklift training and forklift certification

LANGUAGE:

• Written and oral English communication skills are required

• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to work in various work environments: wet, damp, strong odor, dust, cold/refrigerated environments
• Ability to lift 25kg
• Flexible and controlled under crisis situations
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends, evenings, and nights
• Highly organized with excellent time management/priority setting skills.
• Ability to use simple mathematics for inventory control
