Shelf Stocker - Retail at 0748085 B.C. Ltd. (o/a Sandy Farm Market/The Produce on Kerrisdale)

Sandy Farm Market (The Produce on Kerrisdale) is an independently owned produce retail store operating in the Vancouver neighborhood of Kerrisdale. Sandy Farm Market provides proudly selected vegetables and fruit from both local and foreign farms to the local community with the best qualities and affordable prices. With our current strong growth in product range and number of customers in store, we are looking for a Shelf Stocker - Retail.

Position: Shelf Stocker - Retail

Wage: $15.65 - $16.65 per hour (Depending on working experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Temporary

Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 1

Benefits: 4 % vacation pay or 10 days of paid vacation

Work Location: 2072 West 41^st Avenue, Vancouver, BC, Canada V6M 1Y8

Job Duties:

• Sort and stock products on shelves and display areas and make sure to keep stock clean, fresh and in order for customers’ purchase throughout the day;
• Pack or place the products in boxes or bags for customers in store and for online order/deliveries;
• Help unloading stock if needed and unpack, sort, and count products after receiving the stock;
• Monitor and record stock inventory, and report any damages or inaccuracy in number received;
• Sweep floor, dust and clean display areas and storage room;
• Give customers professional answers for their questions about products and display location, help them in carrying heavy products in store or to their vehicles, and grab products from shelves or storage room for customers if needed;
• Place price sticker on products if needed, and price labels in display areas; 
• Help with ordering stock if needed, and make sure no expired or damaged products are displayed on the shelves.

Job Requirements:

• Some secondary school education is usually required;
• Great organization and interpersonal skills;
• Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure;
• Working knowledge of English;
