Job Responsibilities:

Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.

Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt and dirt.

Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.

Mix, pour and spread materials, such as concrete and asphalt.

Help demolish structures using prying bars and other tools, as well as sort, clean and pile salvaged materials.

Help with drilling and blasting rock at construction sites.

Take care of machines or equipment used in construction, such as mixers, compressors and pumps.

Guide operators as they move equipment.

Help tradespersons, such as bricklayers, cement finishers.

Remove rubble and waste at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.

Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment

Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

At least 1 - 2 years related experience.

Secondary school or equivalent

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and with team too.

Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities.

Ability to lift heavy equipment.
