Job Description
Granite Kings Inc. is looking for a Polisher to join our team immediately.Our main office is located at 442 Millen Rd unit 7 & 8, Stoney Creek, ON L8E 6H2. However, this role will require on-site work at client locations within Ontario.
This is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours/week with an hourly salary of $24 plus overtime at a rate of 1.5x after 44 hours per week and 2 weeks vacation. The language of work for this position is English.
The main responsibilities for this position include:
- Polishing all pieces coming off the CNC saw and CNC machine
- Checking quality and repairing any defects as needed
- Maintaining a clean work station and surrounding area
- Operating equipment to produce customized granite products
- Assisting co-workers in placing and securing pieces with or without the crane
- Finishing granite products with protective spray and by mounting plaques or installing the product on a concrete base
- Drilling holes on granite products as needed
You must have the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience in granite and stone finishing
- Extensive experience with operating polishers and cranes on granite
- Experience correctly using protective equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and communicating effectively with other construction workers and with customers
