JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Duties:
• Prepare & keep a track of all the transactions of a business through journals and ledgers.
• Maintain records of HST, Payroll, WSIB and Corporation taxes and obligations and pay within time frame.
• Must tally up payroll taxes, income tax withholding and worker’s compensation figures in the company ledger.
• Check to see that orders match receipts provided by software, to check if there are any errors
or omissions.
• Must reconcile vendor invoices with orders and check that payments to orders and services are accurate.
• Must check time cards to ensure that employees are being paid accurately.
• Prepare deposit slips at the close of business each day which involves comparing cash receipts, checks and credit card payments.
• Must issue a weekly report of income and expenses with the aid of software and should be checked personally by the bookkeeper.
• Capable in areas where cost savings can be done.
• Review financial statements and assist with audits.
