Job Duties
- Handling day to day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Prepare and keep a track of all the transactions of a business through journals and ledgers.
- Maintain records of HST, Payroll, WSIB and Corporation taxes and obligations and pay within time frame.
- Must tally up payroll taxes, income tax withholding and worker’s compensation figures in the company ledger.
- Must check time cards to ensure that employees are being paid accurately.
- Must issue a weekly report of sales and expenses with the aid of software and should be checked personally by the bookkeeper.
- Review financial statements and assist with audits.
- Prepares and issues invoices, bills and account statements.
- Post ledger entries and tally each vendor accounts on a quaterly/monthly basis.
- Possess the ability to use various financial transactions such as accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain work records and logs for owner operators, contractors and drivers.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping is required.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Should have knowledge of quick books, tally, Spreadsheets and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintaining a positive and calm attitude.
- Ability to work independently and work completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Salary: $26.50 hourly for 40 hours per week
