Role Description

• Develop and monitor policies and procedures for operation of services
• Address and resolve problems such as customers' complaints or supply shortage concerns
• Train staff in job duties, monitor the sanitation, safety procedures and company policies
• Develop and implement schedules and procedures of work for all the staff members
• Keep the updated records of stock of food supplies, everyday sales and wastage
• Prepare budget and cost estimates
• Establish work schedules
• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Check staff punctuality and monitor staff performance
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Ensure quality of products meets established standards
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
• Inspect foodstuff at regular intervals to ensure standards of quality are met
• Select and hire food service staff and help in the design of policies and procedures required to plan financials
• Provides advice and may oversee standardization of recipes, menu preparation, portion & cost.

Role Eligibility

• College/CEGEP level education
• Any experience as food service supervisor for 2 years to less than 3 years
• Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast paced environment
• Required combination of sitting, walking, standing for extended hours
• Physically demanding job
• Ability to supervise 3-4 people
• Good English communication and writing skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
• Effective interpersonal skills, team player, self-motivated, problem solver & guest focused.

Salary & hours

$19 per hour for 40 Hours per week
