Job Responsibilities:
ï‚· To prepare, cut, trim, bone meat, poultry, fish and shellfish for sale at the shop or
according to customer’s orders.
ï‚· To prepare meat for special displays and/or delivery
ï‚· To shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats, poultry or fish, and/or wrap or
package fresh or frozen or prepared meats.
ï‚· To manage inventory, keep records of sales and amount, and also product line and
ensure freshness of products according to company and customer requirements.
ï‚· Ensure adherence to hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP), Canadian
food inspection agency (CFIA) and Food safety standards.
ï‚· To ensure that the food storage conditions are adequate
ï‚· Supervising, directing and training other butchers, meat cutters or fishmongers.
