Job responsibilities

• Build and train a high-performing team. Allocate the resources effectively to ensure the successful implementation of their policies and programs.
• Responsible for assisting in human resource functions for all staff including, but not limited to: hiring, terminating, counseling, and ensuring adequate staffing levels in order to meet the needs of the campuses in which services are provided for.
• Serves as primary contact for client.
• Responsible for overall landscape safety compliance and risk mitigation. Develop and manage landscape safety training programs, including equipment specific safety trainings, roadside safety training, driving safety training, programed safety vehicle and site inspections.
• Develop and manage landscape skills training programing.
• Work with the Vice President, managers and supervisors in the development and implementation of best business performance metrics including and key performance indicators and monitoring systems of same.
• Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff members who can effectively lead their departments. These individuals must be given the necessary authority to carry out their responsibilities, and the organization must create optimum working conditions to ensure their success.
• Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning. To ensure the efficient and effective operation of the organization, financial and administrative controls must be established. This includes setting up systems to track expenses, manage budgets, and monitor performance.
• Creates and maintains quality safety and quality control reports.
• Files accident and injury reports including Workers Compensation forms and reports.
• Complete all required reporting in a timely manner including staff evaluations, customer satisfaction surveys, timesheets, and employee relations communication and documents as needed.
• Maintains current knowledge of all supplies, equipment, and industry standards used and practiced within Grounds and Landscaping operations, and oversees the implementation of these items.

Qualifications and skills

•          Bachelor’s degree required

•          5 years or more experience in similar role performing similar duties

•          Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

•          Ability to supervise 5-10 employees

•          Liable to hold budgetary responsibility of $500,001 - $1,500,000

•          Ability to work in a fast paced environment and could work under pressure.

•          Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines.

•          Excellent communication, negotiation, and motivational skills.

•          Strong initiative, decision making, and problem solving skills

•          Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Wages and Hours

$61 hourly for 35 hours per week
