We have an immediate opening for a technical sales specialist to provide superior service to new and existing customers. If you are a motivated self-starter who is organized, detail oriented and thrives on challenge, then this may be the opportunity you have been looking for.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Assess client’s needs and resources and recommend the appropriate goods and services.
  • Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service
  • Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Advertise and/or promote products, sales, or services.
  • Answer written and oral inquiries.
  • Identify and solicit potential clients.
  • Utilize sales/marketing software packages.
  • Consult with clients after sale or signed contracts.
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support.
  • Resolve product and service-related problems.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems related to equipment.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Detail specific product required for orders, including hardware and specialty products.
  • Correctly enter sales orders for phone/email customers
  • Be a master subject expert on a precise field.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service through prioritizing workload, communicating role expectations, and supporting training and development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Office)
  • Sales experience in manufacturing and industrial products and/or construction materials, tools and equipment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, prioritize tight deadlines, sitting for long periods of time and attention to detail.
  • Client focused with excellent ability to build rapport with customers, excellent oral communication skills and efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Proven Customer service, conflict resolution and problem-solving skill.
  • Reliable, team player, organized and flexible.

Education

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in Business administration and management.

Experience

  • 7 months to less than 1 year
