Emgeniv is an IT Consulting company dedicated to solving critical issues facing our clients. We create alignment between business and IT strategies. We are currently working on a new project dedicated to promoting African culture and languages through digital platforms. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Manager to join our team and assist in the creation of an Igbo Language Learning  Afrocentric mobile application for both Android and iOS platforms.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of an Igbo language learning Afrocentric app project, including planning, resource allocation, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and create a comprehensive project plan.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the app, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and user experience guidelines.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, provide updates to stakeholders, and manage project risks and issues.
  • Produce and package deliverables for presentation to various internal support teams, steering committees, and other project stakeholders such as linguistic experts in Igbo Language, Business Analysts & software developers.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, freelancers, and partners to leverage additional resources and expertise as needed.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Perform thorough quality assurance testing and coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure a seamless and bug-free app experience.
  • Manage app store submissions, updates, and app release processes for both Android and iOS platforms.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in mobile app development to drive innovation within the team.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 5 years of proven experience as an IT Project Manager, specifically in mobile app development projects.
  • 5 years or more experience in systems analysis, data administration, application migration to the cloud, and software engineering, including supervisory experience, is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Android and iOS platforms, mobile app architecture, and development frameworks.
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing Afrocentric mobile applications and games for Android and IOS platforms.
  • Ability to plan, design, and coordinate development, installations, integration, and operation of computer-based systems including mobile applications in the Igbo language.
  • Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international copyright laws
  • PMP certification or other project management certifications are highly desirable.

Education Required

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business administration, commerce, or engineering is required.

Wages & Hours of Work

  • $65.93 - 70.00
  • 40hr/week
