Pan Pacific Toronto Hotel is looking for an experienced Vice President of Sales & Marketing, who reports directly to the General Manager, responsible for working closely with the Senior Management Team to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels.

Employment Requirements

  • Education requirement:
  1.  Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field is required
  • Work experience requirements:
  1. Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Vice President of Sales & Marketing (Required)
  2. Minimum 12 years’ management experience in a high-performing team of a multicultural or international company. (Required)
  • Other requirements:
  1. Experience effectively leading a performance-based organization is an asset.
  2. Strategic thinker, strong hands-on leadership skills with the ability to influence and persuade others, especially across organizational boundaries. Well respected by management, peers, and direct reports. Excellent planning skills. A team player with the ability to manage a portfolio of programs/projects of significant scope and complexity in a fast-paced environment that includes numerous Internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  3.  Ability to influence, facilitate, negotiate, and manage stakeholders with a variety of sometimes conflicting interests to achieve a cohesive and quality results that meet business goals.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated creativity with respect to idea generation and solution implementation.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement sales revenue maximization plans for all segments & channels (that lead to increased market share).
  2. Establishing annual sales goals, preparation of budget, and marketing plan. Meet or exceed the annual sales revenue goals, including sales activity production guidelines.
  3.  Lead & motivate sales and marketing teams.
  4. Key account management.
  5.  Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff.
  6. Continuously evaluate the hotel involvement in the various sales distribution channels and develop strong working relationships to proactively position and market the hotel accordingly.
  7. Managing the marketing budget to enable development of brand specific campaigns, promotions and collateral to drive revenue and meet brand objectives.
  8. Developing strategic alliances/partnerships to support marketing initiatives.
  9. Provide leadership to help drive productivity and performance of the sales team. Timely execution of specific assignments.
  10. Guide and participate in monthly sales department and revenue and strategy meetings for the Brand.
  11. Creating and suggesting strategies and tactics for respective markets in the annual business plan. Creative marketing projects, involving Social Media, Editorial Content, Public Relations, cultural partnerships and special events.
  12. Maintain positive relations and high visibility in relative business organizations and local hotel associations.
