JOB SUMMARY:

The Bookkeeper will be involved in matters such as payroll, financial record keeping, tax filing, invoice management and other finance related support. Our ideal candidate is meticulously organized, proactive and prudent with experience in Bookkeeping.

 

JOB TITLE: Bookkeeper

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:

  • Collecting, consolidating and maintaining databases of financial documentation and data
  • Bookkeeping responsibilities including balancing and reconciling accounts, account maintenance and record keeping
  • Create, submit and present financial reports and presentations
  • Coordinating with various internal departments
  • Conducting financial analysis using computer-based software
  • Maintaining professional communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Balancing of books and maintenance of general ledgers
  • Reviewing, adjusting and confirming accuracy of all financial reporting, inputs and calculations
  • Generating cheques, invoices and receipts
  • Processing journal entries and payments received
  • Completing and submitting tax-related documentation
  • Preparing and submitting finance related forms, applications and statements to various government bodies
  • Preparing reports, templates and documents related to accounting, statistics, and finance

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of Secondary School is required
  • A degree related to Accounting, Finance or Commerce is an Asset
  • 2 to less than 3 years of related experience
  • Able to read, write and speak in English

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent Full-time, Long-term.

 

WAGES: $25.50 per hour

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week

 

OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.
