Job Description

Job Duties:

• Operate cash register, price scanner and interac machine.
• Process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments.
• Scan items; receive payment for goods and service.
• Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales.
• Stock shelves and clean counter area.
• Greet customer and provide customer service as and when required by clients.
• Wrap or place, merchandise in bags; weigh produce and bulk foods.
• Monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary.
• Assist with self-checkout.
• Reconcile the sales at the end of the day and report to the store manager.

Job Eligibility:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience as cashier for 1 year or less than 2 years
• Able to work efficiently in faced paced environment with minimum errors
• Position required combination of sitting, walking and standing for extended hours
• Able to provide accurate service with strong command over English oral communication
• A team oriented employee
• Strong customer service skills and high level of energy
