Sea Star Education Ltd. located in Richmond provides childcare services to local residents. We are currently looking for a Full-Time certified Early Childhood Education Assistant to meet the needs of children in our centers.

Job Details:

Position:  Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA)

Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Wage: $20/hour

Job Offer Type: Full-time, Permanent

Work location: #120-3600 Viking Way Richmond BC V6V 1N6 (Child Care Centre)

Security and Safety: Criminal record check; Medical exam

Personal Suitability: Judgment; Reliability; Team player; Values and ethics

Main duties:

• Support early childhood educators in making lesson plans and carrying out daily childcare programs.
• Involve in in-class activities with children, including stories telling, teaching songs, handicrafts sessions and etc.
• Assess and train children in personal hygiene habits.
• Prepare snacks and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.
• Work closely with early childhood educators to prepare written observations on children.
• Attend regular meetings with early childhood educators to discuss children’s learning progress and potential problems.

Job Requirement:

• Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate is required
• Secondary (high) school graduation is required
• Experience an asset
