Job Title: Construction Manager
Work location: 3314 30th Ave,Vernon BC V1T 2C3
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above
Language: English
Salary: hourly wage of $49, work 30 hours per week, 52 weeks a year
Annual: $70,980
Job Duties:
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Communicate and collaborate with project parties, engineers, architects and other workers in the same project
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules, ensure the normal operation of construction projects
- Prepare and submit construction project budget and cost estimates, be responsible for the cost management
- Control project progress and project quality; prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
- Preside over construction project meetings, develop and implement quality control programs and provide corresponding support to ensure the realization of quality control programs
- Choose and hire subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities; supervise the activities of subcontractors
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Represent company to negotiate cooperation details and contract details
- Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
- Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
Job Requirements:
- More than three years of experience in the construction industry
- Minimum of three years of experience in management level or leadership level
- Having experience in managing construction projects and project teams, prepare project schemes and budget plans
- Having leadership, communication, collaboration and negotiation skills and capacities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality
- Having excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
- Ability and experience in construction design is preferred
