Job Description

We strive to be more than just a daycare center, rather each child’s home away from home. We provide high quality materials in our center to maximize the ability to learn. We plan our daily experiences based on the interests that we find through observing the children in each room environment, and actively include the community and the children’s families to better enhance our learning. All of our planned activities are set up based on the developmental needs of each individual child. Our planning and day to day routines envelop all areas of a child’s development, we aim to meet their social, physical, language, intellectual, creative and emotional needs, and our activities help to enhance the skills that they require to succeed for the rest of their lives.

We are looking for an energetic and passionate educator to join our team. A minimum certification of ECE 1 & 2 is required, ECE 3 is preferred.

• Sign children in and out of TimeSavr
• Sign yourself in and out of TimeSavr
• Implement activities that are developmentally appropriate & child led, and are inline with the Alberta Curriculum Framework outcomes.
• Support planning as a team
• Document observations
• Documentation (learning stories/documentation panels)
• Ensuring licensing regulations are being upheld
• Meeting the program expectations
• Family communication
• Being professional (conversations with coworkers, children, families, dress code, cellphones, gossiping)
• Being supportive to your classroom team as well as the centre team as a whole
• Know emergency procedures (fire drill, natural disasters & lock downs)

And of course..... have fun!

Schedule :

8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
