Job Description

Location: North York, ON M2N 6S6

Salary: $ 64.25 hourly / 30 hours per Week

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of advanced financial analyses to determine the present and forecasted financial health of the company. 
  • Use financial modeling to simulate financial scenarios. 
  • Present potential scenarios and outcomes to the management team. 
  • Collaborate with management on the development and execution of funding strategies. 
  • Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles. 
  • Developing and overseeing the financial strategies and budgets for the organization.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Presenting accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of current regulations, tax laws, and accounting practices
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Monitoring cash flow, optimizing working capital, and ensuring liquidity.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-control measures.
  • Conducting in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Managing and leading the finance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborating with senior executives to align financial strategies with the organization's overall goals and objectives.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, taxation & accounting or a related field is typically required. 
  • 5 years or more of relevant work experience in finance or related roles is crucial. 
  • Strong leadership and management skills are crucial to make critical decisions that impact the organization.
  • The ability to think strategically and align financial strategies with the company's overall goals and objectives is important.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary for presenting financial information to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and the ability to make data-driven decisions are vital.
  • One needs to be a skilled problem solvers, capable of addressing complex financial challenges.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to financial integrity are essential for this role.
