Push Pounds Sports Medicine – Studio Athletica Sports Medicine (“Push Pounds”) is home to some of the best physiotherapy practitioners in Toronto. The Registered Physiotherapists at our company have years of experience working with a variety of musculoskeletal ailments in persons of all ages and activity levels. Our physiotherapists have all individuals covered – whether it be professional or recreational athletes, military, pediatrics, bodybuilders, or runners. Our programs actively engage our patients, re-teaching the body to move in the correct biomechanical plane in order to function as a complete unit. We have a reliable and proven track record of effectively many physical ailments using evidence-based approaches that, when combined with the latest technology, have made us the success we are.

Our company is a team full of doctors, physiotherapists, and directors. Our support staff is a crucial part of our company that ensures both ours and our clients’ success. At this time, we are looking to hire a Medical Administrative Assistant. Push Pounds is looking for an individual who will ensure our medical facility’s smooth operation by accurately completing administrative tasks in a timely manner.

The job responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Scheduling and confirming appointments at Push Pounds;
  • Receiving and communicating messages for medical staff and patients;
  • Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review;
  • Interview patients in order to complete forms, documents and case histories;
  • Complete insurance and other claim forms; and
  • Establish and maintain various internal office administrative support procedures such as document tracking and filing and monthly reporting.

Qualifications and skills for the position are as follows:

  • Post-secondary education within the health industry (university preferred);
  • Demonstration of a general background knowledge of medical equipment and medication;
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service;
  • 5+ years of experience with booking orders, collecting payments, and facilitating deliveries;
  • Background of medical sales representation is an asset.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and has the ability to deliver high-quality customer service to our clients, and assistance to our staff.

This is a full-time, permanent position, with a fixed salary of $22.19/hour. The candidate must be available for a 40-hour work week, and must be available as per the needs of the facility.
